Check Out These Escape Rooms Near Oak Park

Kraft envelop with enigma inside and the word escape game stamped on it. Escape rooms concept

In the past several years, escape rooms have become extremely popular. Why do people love them so much? One reason is that you are actually in the game. When the clock starts counting down, your adrenaline starts pumping and you go into survival mode. Of course, it’s all in good fun. You’ll work with a team to solve puzzles, find clues, and hopefully “escape” before time runs out. You can choose the theme that interests you the most and then the fun begins. Here are three escape rooms near Oak Park:

Escape the Room

Escape the Room has six themed rooms to choose from. All rooms accommodate up to eight players with the exception of The Theater which can hold two more players. Prices start at $30 per person, but may be higher during peak times. If you do not reserve all of the available slots for the room, strangers may be put in the room with you.

You should be aware that unlike some other escape rooms, Escape the Room does not allow hints or cheat codes. There is a one hour time limit. Their rooms have about a 20% success rate, so they are extremely difficult. However, if you really like a challenge, this is the place for you!

PanIQ Escape Room

The list of celebrity and corporate clients who love PanIQ Escape Room is pretty impressive: Seth Rogan, Chris Evans, Nike, and Porsche are just a few. The first location was in Hungary and there are now PanIQ Escape Rooms in 10 major cities from Los Angeles to Washington DC. There have been several news stories about them and they have earned a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence.

There are four different rooms at PanIQ and each holds up to seven players. Two are considered medium difficulty and the other two are more challenging. The cost is $28 per player, but they often have discount codes on their website.

Just Escape

There are four more rooms to choose from at Just Escape. Three traditional rooms allow anywhere from eight to fourteen players and have a one-hour time limit. These cost $35 per person to reserve, but if you book a whole room, you save money on each ticket. The fourth room has a much higher success rate, a 20-minute time limit, and only costs $10 per person.

Fair warning: escape rooms can be highly addictive! We encourage you to try at least one room at each venue to see which one you prefer.
