Every January, Oak Park residents look forward to a night of food and music. We’re talking about Bite Nite, and this year the fun takes place on January 26th. This event often sells out!
Participating eateries include:
Barclay’s American Grill
Barclay’s is known as the “place to be” in Oak Park. It opened in 2009 and quickly became a popular dining destination for friends and families. The chefs use fresh ingredients and enjoy making homemade sauces and creative toppings from scratch. The menu includes blue point oysters, country rigatoni, and B.L.T. shrimp tacos.
This restaurant is famous across the United States as it’s home to the city’s legendary deep dish pizza. Lou Malnati’s is the oldest family name in Chicago pizza. The pizzas feature a flaky, buttery crust topped with sauce, California and Wisconsin cheeses, and an array of meats or vegetables. At the event, try the pepperoni or sausage creations.
Cafe Cubano is a family-owned restaurant that brings the flavors of old Cuba to Chicago. The dishes are made from favorite family recipes. The cooks only use fresh, authentic ingredients. The menu includes beef empanadas, tostones rellenos, and ceviche de camaron.
Wild Onion Tied House
According to this restaurant’s website, a tied house is a satellite pub that is tied to a central brewery. This tradition played a part in the city’s colorful pre-prohibition era. Wild Onion takes visitors on a journey back in time as it is located inside a century-old theater. The menu includes bacon-wrapped drumsticks, butternut truffle burrata, and stacked burgers.
