Ernest Hemingway Birthplace Museum

Ernest Hemingway is one of the most popular American authors of all time. His beautiful Victorian home, still standing in Oak Parj, is a must-see. Currently, the museum is offering two virtual tours a day, Wednesday through Saturday. They are held at 1pm and 3pm on via Google Meet. You’ll hear 50 minutes of live narration as you traverse the house from the grand front porch through the rooms that have been specially restored to look just as they did in Hemingway’s time. You won’t want to miss this tour! 

Oak Park River Forest Museum

The River Forest Museum is the perfect place to learn about all things Oak Park through online readings, photo galleries, and more. The museum is currently collecting photos and stories from locals about how they are creatively enduring social distancing. They are also hosting a weekly “Caption This!” contest in which participants submit creative captions for historical photos.
